Susanne Lautenschläger

PAS - Professional Aviation Solutions

In the 1990s, after graduating in International Business and Administration, I joined the German charter airline Aero Lloyd. After scheduling and planning flights, and working in traffic control, I switched to the sales department, focusing on ad-hoc, sub-charter and special flights. In 2001, after a brief 1-year stint in the incentive market, I started working with Air Partner. In my 12 years at the company, I worked in almost all brokerage divisions - from sales for commercial and private jets to the service department. In 2014 I joined PAS, where I mainly work in the commercial jet business unit. I have sold about 3,500 flights and organised countless others while working in the operations department. I can’t even begin to count how many flights I planned at the flight planning department.

These are my two decades in aviation and brokerage so far. I’m curious to see what the future holds.

My strengths are : analytical thinking, leading people, networking.

After my Tourism studies, I started my career in Aviation through a trainee programme at Condor, where I worked in the ground service department at the airport and I dealt with flight planning. I then joined Aero Lloyd, where I helped develop the ad-hoc sales department. After 4.5 years, one of my UK-based clients asked me whether I was interested in helping him develop his company’s presence in Germany. I started working as a broker in 1998, built up the office in Germany and Austria and became a member of the operational board in 2007. Two years later I was promoted to European Director and I developed and implemented the strategy for the European offices. Moreover, I helped my teams use this strategy to win a market share in all segments (private jets, commercial jets and freight). My strengths? Analytical thinking, people management and networking.

Hobbies:
yoga, fitness, meeting people, dancing and of course: travelling
Favourite aircraft:
B747-400 – it’s simply beautiful.
